Illinois Research Park

This 40,000 square foot office building, completes a four-building block in the Research Park at the University of Illinois campus. The two-story building is designed to provide multi-tenant flexibility for the growing research community.

The architectural precast wall structure provides a consistent rhythm of windows, masonry and concrete treatments to complement adjacent office and campus buildings, while providing the building’s own aesthetic. A glass conference room marks the primary entry and amplifies the collaborative nature of the research community.

Set in a park-like setting with ponds and oak tree lined edges, a covered exterior patio creates outdoor work areas while providing solar control to southwest offices. A planned for roof-mounted PV (solar) system on the roof creates energy from the sun.
